To check the itinerary eligibility for bidding:

You need to head toward the Airline's official website, and the passenger needs to check the record of the purchased ticket through 'Reservation Confirmation.'
When you enter the confirmation code screen will display whether the booked reservation is eligible by showing the 'bid upgrade button' on the portal. Click on it.
If you purchased the scheduled flight ticket through the Airline website, you will be notified via email for bidding.

To apply for a bidding upgrade:

Once you tap on the 'bid button,' you can see the eligible flight list of your booked itinerary on the webpage.
You must select one class, Premium Economy class or Business class, which are on the bidding portal.
The Airline will accept an upgrade Bid Application within 48 hours of the scheduled departure.
Now you must enter the bid amount and credit card details; they will deduct the applicable charges only when the upgrade is confirmed.

To know the upgrade results information:

If your Japan Airlines Bid upgrade is successful, then the Airline customer service will notify you via email 24 hours before the Flight Departure.
Suppose multiple passengers bid for the same amount. The Airline finalizes upgrades based on descending order of Bid, purchased ticket reservation class order, JMB status, and bid execution date and time.
